CNGnow believes in natural gas vehicle development, production, and utilization, so much so that the community of advocates recently made a push for it during the GOP convention in Tampa.
CNGnow explores the news, views, and virtues of compressed natural gas in the age of alternative energy. They are passionate about American energy independence and insist that CNG vehicles are the way to that independence.
Besides attending political events in support of CNG, the group aims to educate the public about it, and to showcase the benefits of using compressed natural as the main transportation fuel.
One of the group’s outlets is its website: www.cngnow.com, a site operated by Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where advocates post news about the industry. Readers can learn what CNG is, its history, and how safe it is. Also featured on the site are CNG vehicles available. Bloggers offer commentary in the blog section where the topics are as vast as the community of advocates.
At CNGnow.com each state has its own page. Each page features a summary of that state’s potential in CNG, incentives for going CNG, and news pertinent to that state’s drivers. There is also an interactive map that shows viewers the locations of CNG stations.
A highlight of the site is a video section. The videos are short, but they offer the latest information on the hottest CNG topics. One of the videos, “The Technology of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG),” is a great place to see how it all works. The Educational Videos series also offers short but informative bits about CNG and CNG vehicles.
