One particularly exciting attribute to LPG fracturingRefers to a method used by producers to extract more natural gas from a well by opening up rock formations using hydraulic or explosive force. is that the propane gas is said to turn to vapor underground, return to the surface without drilling chemicals or radioactivity, and can then be collected, reused or resold as propane. Don Leblanc, principal consultant at Eastex Petroleum Consultants stated, “this is a game changer for the industry” and “since the propane becomes part of the reservoir flow, the generated fracture is completely cleaned up.” LPG fracturingRefers to a method used by producers to extract more natural gas from a well by opening up rock formations using hydraulic or explosive force. is considered to be two to three times better at increasing the flow of oil and gas in comparison to traditional methods and was noted by Chevron in its annual report as a technology that “significantly increases production while minimizing water usage.”

In time, LPG fracturingRefers to a method used by producers to extract more natural gas from a well by opening up rock formations using hydraulic or explosive force. may become the most extensively used drilling technique across Pennsylvania and New York because of its many scientific and “green” advantages, and it is reassuring to know a new technology that is right around the corner can minimize the use of our state’s vital and precious natural resource – water.
It’s my understanding that this tech is not just around the corner but standing right out front.
Thanks for the comment Charlie, I believe your right. The future of LPG fracturing is bright, however with a flood of natural gas on the market this technology may not become readily available because the DEC does not have to get the evaluation done as quickly as it could.
With all respect, please do not publish your thoughts on subjects you do not understand. Hydraulic Fracturing is not a “drilling method.” It is production enhancement method. If you don’t understand the difference, you are clearly not qualified to spread your misinformed thoughts.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the creative criticism but unfortunately, I could not find the quote you are referring to.
Seeing as how you are a production enhancement engineer, please feel free to post more precise details about LPG fracturing.
Nothing will ever satisfy the anti-drilling crowd, but propane fracs may be the way of the future in shale plays like the Eagle Ford, where the clay content is high. Blackbrush Energy just signed a 2 year agreement, based on positive results in the field.
