There was a lot of lip licking going on at Roughneck Fest. Between the chili cook-off and the lineup of rib choices, fest goers had their pick of delicious food.
The Washington County Fairgrounds was full of sights, sounds, and smells that could please any hardworking roughneck on Sunday during the first annual Roughneck Fest.
Besides the constant smell of mouthwatering food, fest goers had plenty of activities to keep them busy. Many attempted to battle the bull, and many failed—good thing there was a soft cushion to pad the falls. Booths were setup inside the boxing arena and offered fest goers information, freebies, and gifts for purchase. The guys pulled out the big guns as they rolled up their sleeves to arm wrestle the competition. And other guys mustered all of their strength for the Strong Man Competition. Music filled the air right along with the distinct, smoky barbeque scent as people wandered around the big trucks and the kids play area.
