There are many questions surrounding Marcellus Shale, and the Marcellus Shale Coalition plans to answer those questions.
The coalition launched an online survey where you can ask your questions about gas drilling. The survey is geared toward residents across Greater Philadelphia and focuses on the development of natural gas in Pennsylvania and its impact in that region.
The quick and simple survey is available at www.AskAboutShale.org. You can participate until July 20, and you don’t have to be from the Greater Philadelphia region to take the survey.
The coalition will compile questions in August, and will present answers to those frequently-asked-questions in September.
Residents’ questions will be divided into four general categories: gas drilling operations; safety and environmental issues; economic impact; the role of government and regulations.
From job opportunities to environmental concerns, landowners and residents are sure to be affected by Marcellus Shale. Don’t you want to know how this will affect you?
According to its website, The Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) works with exploration and production, midstream, and supply chain partners in the Appalachian Basin and across the country to address issues regarding the production of clean, job-creating, American natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. It provides in-depth information to policymakers, regulators, media, and other public stakeholders on the positive impacts responsible natural gas production is having on families, businesses, and communities across the region.
